Pictures on the
cards are very detailed and include backgrounds. This is very
good to give the reader more to interpet. More to focus on than
just the main item on the card.
The book's introduction
is very detailed on the forgotten teaching of the animals and
their ancient ways. This is very good for a novice but this
is something that should be taught well before even picking
this oracle up.
The fist chapter
goes into what an oracle actually is. Again, this is good information
for a novice but if you're not sure what an oracle is, what
are you using one for?
Chapter two is where
we begin to look at the animals themselves. One thing I absolutely
LOVE is how it tells the reader in bold letters how this should
not be used for "predictions."
Each animal comes
with a form of legend, as well as what the card means when pulled
upright or reverse.
Chapter three discusses
the actual layouts and reading. They list several different
layouts but I stopped reading. I ususally let the cards tell
me where they need to go. |
