Background:
I hated “The Sixth Sense.” With a passion. You see, I really do see dead people. They walk and talk and keep me up at all hours complaining about the after life. But what if this life wasn't so great to begin with, huh?
I guess the gift came to me after puberty. Slowly but surely, I became a freak. So I ran. I changed my name. I tried to make the problem stay with my old identity. Fat chance.
So here I am, hopping from shelter to shelter. I'm living in some apartments that are more like boxes right now. The food bank delivers meals. Not really to me, but to the departed who have loaned me their names and social security numbers.
Playing the Character
You're not suicidal, but whenever death comes, you're open to it. You use your knowledge of the dead to scrape by. You also obtain a bit of education from their pasts. Nothing much shocks you anymore and you'll just live your life how you want until the day comes when you join those who talk to all the time.
