I still dot my “i”s with a heart. Alexa makes me feel that way. Okay, I won’t get all mushy on you right off the bat. I know that’s probably not what you want to know about me.
I am currently the Junior Capitan of the Sunnydale High Varsity Cheerleading Squad. And I love it. It gives me something to be proud of and have spirit in. Oh yeah, and it keeps me in shape to stay alive since there’s demons on this Hellmouth.
How did a preppy little jock girl like me know about the Hellmouth? Well, for one, I was born in Sunnydale and for some reason I’m not in denial like a lot of the students around here. Oh yeah, and I know a Potential Slayer.
I met Alexa freshman year and we immediately clicked as best friends. By spring, we realized we were a little more than friends. We began seeing each other romantically. We kept it pretty secret at first but now it’s totally no big deal to us.
The big deal was when she told me about Slayers.
Alexa might be called but she hasn’t been yet. I know that if she is the Chosen One that it not only means a tight dating schedule, it means she probably won’t live much longer. But I won’t bail on her.
So I train. Not just for the next game but also for the fight of my life. I’ve even killed a vampire! Well, only because I totally had to. We don’t go looking for them. It’s just good to know that we can fight them. Together.
