Closing Ritual

All carry their athames. One witch is designated by the Priestess to extinguish the candles after each direction is closed. Also to recollect the sacred stones. Begin in the North. Counter-clockwise to close what you have opened.

High Priestess: "Ye lords of the watchtowers of the north, ye lords of earth. Boreas, thou guardian of the northern portals, thou powerful god and gentle goddess, we thank you for attending our rites and ere ye deart to your pleasant and lovely realms, we bid you hail and farewell." She then draws the banishing pentagram in the air with her athame.

All: "Hail and farewell!" All draw the banishing pentagram and turn to the west.

High Priestess: "Ye lords of the watchtowers of the west, ye lords of water, ye lords of death and initiation, we thank you for attending our rites and ere ye deart to your pleasant and lovely realms, we bid you hail and farewell." She then draws the banishing pentagram in the air with her athame.

All: "Hail and farewell!" All draw the banishing pentagram and turn to the south.

High Priestess: "Ye lords of the watchtowers of the south, ye lords of fire, we thank you for attending our rites and ere ye deart to your pleasant and lovely realms, we bid you hail and farewell." She then draws the banishing pentagram in the air with her athame.

All: "Hail and farewell!" All draw the banishing pentagram and turn to the east.

High Priestess: "Ye lords of the watchtowers of the east, ye lords of air, we thank you for attending our rites and ere ye deart to your pleasant and lovely realms, we bid you hail and farewell." She then draws the banishing pentagram in the air with her athame.

All: "Hail and farewell!" All draw the banishing pentagram. The ritual ends with cakes and ale.
